- The stratification is not uniform in all societies. It varies from society to society because social problems and institutions all over are not the same.
- Different societies has assessment process in their society. Stratification help us to know the classes and sub classes present in society. It also describes the occupation, income and status of each class in society. According to income, there are three distinct groups namely, Low income group, middle income group and high income group.
- Stratification is highly influenced by technology. In which, caste system gives path to class system. For example, industrialization and urbanization are highly influenced the stratification of society.
- It is influenced by government policies. In India, there are many policies implemented according to various caste. In which some poor and lower caste is eligible for It and some having high status in society are not eligible.
- Struggle to reach a particulate destination is influenced by stratification. Struggle is an inherent quality of stratification. people belonging from lower classes are always struggles to reach at the high class strata and on the other hand high class strata people always push down them.
- Division of labour is possible. Each class is found to perform a particular Type of work. It is very essential for the progress of industrial sector.
